Director’s Statement:

“In 2013, I crawled back to my hometown as a homeless heroin addict. Eleven years later, I was able to film 'Withdrawal', a love story of addiction, in that same town (Athens, GA) with a diverse and dedicated team of independent artists, many of whom have their own experiences with substance abuse.

Today, the opioid epidemic kills an American every six and half minutes. Our goal was to humanize this crisis and to paint an honest portrait of modern addiction filled with heart, hurt, and humor.”
