Reel Friends Presents

Filmmakers interested in participating in the Reel Friends series must either hail from or have a home base in Atlanta, Georgia OR are able to make it to Atlanta in time of the screening. This requirement ensures that the showcase is packed with locals only-- plus we can guarantee that you are in town for the live director's commentary.

During each series, we will select up to five films to program in a shorts block at the historic Tara Theatre in Atlanta. After, rather than a Q&A, we will run those films back on mute for a live director's commentary! Once the event is complete, The Tara will host a one hour mixer in the lobby for all filmmakers to connect with our budding community of fellow filmmakers and film lovers.

Rules & Terms

Films of all kinds are acceptable (20 minutes max)

Film Friends of Atlanta! Your eligibility is simple – just be raised and/or based in the heart of Atlanta, GA. Anyone outside of GA, please make sure you can make it to Atlanta by the event date for the live director's commentary.
